Content of the study

The market for heating systems is highly dynamic, driven by ever-increasing customer requirements, the digitalisation of processes and product systems and, above all, increasing regulation in conjunction with purchase incentives. The significant reduction of CO2 emissions remains the long-term goal of the German government and therefore requires the substitution of fossil heating systems with new regenerative solutions in the building envelope.

Against this backdrop, S&B Strategy has analysed the effects of the European Green Deal and investment potential in the market for heating installations. Current developments and trends on the market and customer side were examined and lifetime cost analyses carried out in order to identify key challenges in the market and formulate solutions for investors and companies.
