Our application process
We want to make your start with us as clear and rewarding as possible. That's why we're giving you a transparent overview of our application process – from the first contact to your first day at work with us.
Step 1 - Your application
The first step is very simple: send us your application documents, either by e-mail or via this link. We will review them carefully – we are interested not only in your CV, but also in your motivation and personality. If your profile is a good fit for us, we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Step 2 - Preliminary interview
Before we meet you in person, we will conduct a short preliminary interview (approx. 30 minutes) with you – conveniently via Microsoft Teams. This interview will be conducted by Anna and serves to get a first impression of each other. We will talk about your motivation, your career to date and what you expect from the position and our team. Of course, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions – because it should be a good fit for both sides.
Step 3 - Assessment Day
If the preliminary interview is positive for both sides, we will invite you to an Assessment Day at our office. This usually takes place on Friday afternoons (from around 1 p.m.) and lasts about three hours. The day is designed to give you a comprehensive insight into how we work and our team, and to allow us to get to know you better, both professionally and personally.
The schedule in detail:
-
Module 1: Introduction & interview (approx. 30 minutes)
You will start with a conversation with two colleagues from our team. This will focus on your CV, your previous experience and some technical questions.
-
Module 2: Case study (approx. 90 minutes)
In Module 2, you will work on a practical case study – typically in the field of strategy or M&A. After a short introduction of approx. 5–10 minutes, you will have 60 minutes to analyse and prepare the case independently. You will then present your solution to two of our colleagues – after which we will discuss your approach, questions and conclusions together. In the case interview, we don't want you to know everything, but rather to understand how you structure and think through complex business problems. It's less about ‘correct’ answers and more about your analytical skills, clarity of thought and communication skills. It is important to us that you present your thoughts transparently and make your reasoning comprehensible.
-
Module 3: Informal exchange over coffee and snacks (approx. 30 minutes)
In a relaxed atmosphere, you can exchange ideas with one or more team members – partly in one-on-one conversations, partly in a group. This is deliberately not about classic interview questions, but about getting to know each other.
-
Module 4: Partner round (approx. 30 minutes)
If you have successfully completed the case study and we can envisage working with you in principle, you will meet at least one of our partners and another manager or colleague at the end of the process. In this conversation, we would like to get to know you better as a person and show you once again what makes us special as a team.
Important: We make sure that you get to know as many different people from our team as possible during the course of the day. This gives you the most authentic picture possible – and us too.
Step 4 - Our offer
If we feel that you are a good fit both professionally and personally, you will usually receive feedback very quickly – often shortly after the assessment day. We will make you an offer and look forward to you joining our team.
Step 5 - Your start & onboarding
We want you to feel comfortable and settle in well from day one. That's why you will receive structured onboarding:
- During the first two weeks, you will get to know the most important processes, tools and contact persons in various meetings.
- You will be assigned a buddy who will provide you with professional and cultural support during your induction and beyond.
- You will always have the opportunity to ask questions, give feedback and settle in step by step.
