S&B Strategy advises HomeServe Germany on the acquisition of Scheel Haustechnik
Our team advised HomeServe Deutschland, a portfolio company of Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, on the acquisition of Helmut Scheel GmbH & Co. KG. The transaction was signed in April 2023.
HomeServe is one of the leading HVAC trade groups with a focus on private end customers and residential construction. With a presence in eight countries and a total of around 9,000 employees, HomeServe focuses on actively strengthening trade companies in the respective regions by bundling central functions. This allows the companies to concentrate on consulting, installation and service in the HVAC and electrical trades. With this acquisition, HomeServe is expanding its presence in the greater Hamburg area.
Scheel, an established HVAC company with almost 35 employees, specialises in plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical installations as well as maintenance services with a strong focus on end customers. The acquisition of Scheel by HomeServe secures the long-term succession of the company and enables the further expansion of high-quality services in the greater Hamburg area.
Our team supported HomeServe comprehensively as lead M&A advisor during the entire acquisition process up to the successful signing as well as with an operational due diligence.

With over 12 years of experience as a managing director, consultant and manager focussing on corporate and investor acquisitions, he is a proven expert in M&A – both for buy- and sell-side mandates. Patrick gained extensive experience in the deals division of PwC, on the management board of Hubert Burda Media and in the context of M&A and strategy projects for national and international clients in Europe and Asia. Patrick completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration at the Amsterdam Business School.
