S&B Strategy advises HomeServe Germany on the acquisition of Gühring Heiz- und Sanitaertechnik

Our team advised HomeServe Deutschland, a portfolio company of Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, on the acquisition of Gühring GmbH & Co. KG on the acquisition. The transaction was signed in January 2024.

HomeServe is one of the leading HVAC trade groups with a focus on private end customers and residential construction. With a presence in eight countries and a total of around 9,000 employees, HomeServe focuses on actively strengthening trade companies in the respective regions by bundling central functions. This allows the companies to concentrate on providing advice, installation and service in the HVAC and electrical trades. With this acquisition, HomeServe will further strengthen its presence in the greater Stuttgart area.

Gühring Heiz- und Sanitärtechnik is an established HVAC company in the greater Stuttgart area with a focus on private end customers. The second-generation family-run business with a long tradition and excellent reputation in the HVAC industry is known in the Stuttgart area for its high-quality products and first-class services. With the resources of HomeServe, Gühring will be able to offer innovative solutions and services that meet the changing needs of customers and pursue a long-term growth trajectory with existing management.

With over 12 years of experience as a managing director, consultant and manager with a focus on corporate and investor acquisitions, he is a proven expert in M&A – both for buy- and sell-side mandates. Patrick gained extensive experience in the deals division of PwC, on the management board of Hubert Burda Media and in M&A and strategy projects for national and international clients in Europe and Asia. Patrick completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration at the Amsterdam Business School.

Maximilian holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Passau. He has several years of professional experience as founder of an FMCG retail company and at the Big-Four consultancies EY and PwC, as well as at a strategy boutique.
